My Weekly Letters to My Representatives.
I WRITE LETTERS
Ms. Tracy Anne Alexandra Reid
Retired Amnesty International Legislative Liaison
Registered Voter, Democrat
Senator Fetterman
Washington DC
July 20, 2025
Dear Senator Fetterman,
Thank you, Senator Fetterman, for voting NO on the Awful Republican Budget Bill. I appreciate you not working with the Trump Administration. These are not normal times, and bipartisan cooperation seems a distant memory.
Here is what I would like you to do going forward:
*Host Town Halls
*Attend Peaceful Protests in Pennsylvania and Speak Out for the citizens of the USA, Pennsylvania and Its immigrant Population. Stand Firm against ICE Terror Tactics.
* Fight to stop cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, Food Stamps, SNAP, Heating Assistance and Affordable Housing.
* You're a big, tall guy, make your presence known. You hold a sacred seat in the Senate, a powerful seat, use your power to be loud and let the constituents of this State Hear You and See You. Ask your immigrant wife for help. I know she works hard to fight hunger amongst your constituents. She could do a lot more for the immigrant plight in America by attending Protests with you. We need you to walk the talk. Words are meaningless without action.
Thank you for addressing my concerns.
We had your back during your health crisis. You have to show us you have ours. Get Louder! Thank you.
Ms. Tracy Anne Reid
Registered Democrat Who Always Votes.
I write letters to Senators, Representatives, Presidents and Even Authoritarian Governments. Having spent years working as a Legislative Liaison for RI Amnesty International, have honed my skills and expectations. I have even talked on the phone with Prison wardens in Tehran, Egypt, The Republic of The Congo and helped smuggle cell phones into those prisons to help Prisoners of Conscience receive our advocacy.
My pressure campaigns succeed and fail. It depends on leverage and who is in power here in America that sometimes moves the needle, A tightrope walk for certain. Feel free to use my letter below to form your own letters to your representatives, just insert your name and delete mine. Make it your own. It's important when writing it comes from your guts. People know when they're being conned, they sometimes ignore that, but they know.
My gift and curse are my obsession with Justice, The Declaration of Human Rights and our American Constitution and those who would seek to violate any of those rights of any human on planet earth. We do not do these things alone. My experience has proved to me that collaboration with groups of like minded focused people, of varied backgrounds, skills and time constraints, allows for more success in a group. We absolutely cannot tackle the water hosing of our rights alone or all at once. Everyone doing their part, what they are good at, makes it work. Posting online information is as important as attending a protest or writing a letter to a rep. Showing up with some food for a meeting or hosting a potluck dinner is a finely woven web that reaches out and reverberates, that is how all resistance movements have every formed and ever worked. Everything and Everyone Matters.
Above is the letter I sent to Senator Fetterman this morning, July 20, 2025. I correspond almost monthly and sometimes weekly with elected officials on either side of the isle. It is now a habit. I even have form letters I have developed, and I fill in the blanks of what is most crucial at any given point in time. Micromanaging my efforts saves me time and allows me to also have a life that isn't consumed with drama, trauma and injustice. Balance keeps me going in both directions and allows for the normalcy I need for my personal and professional life.
