Mental Health Tips In No Particular Order
Consider Tapping (EFT) to descalate and calm your central nervous system
Consider EMDR to overwrite your old tapes and triggers.
Turn on all the lights at home , light does lift moods in most cases.
Snap your fingers if your stuck in an excessive loop thought.
Get a Therapist if possible.
Call a trusted person and let them know your not okay, it is not dumping it is venting, chances are your friend(s) are feeling as vulnerable as you are. It's their choice to tell you if they too are on emotional overload.
Try to maintaine a routine for yourself and your loved ones.
Put limits on yourself as to internet time .
Try The Butterfly Hug, it actually does help calm your central nervous system. We've been traumatized we need to mitigate as much of the damage done to everyone and ourselves. Starting with yourself makes you a healthier and more stable freedom fighter, parent, friend and patriot.
Don't underestimate the damage done by Vicarious Trauma, witnessing other's being traumatized is detremental to your mental health. It is terrible being the helpless bystander.
Try to eat healthy and drink enough fluids to keep you hydrated.
Unplug at a certain time daily from media and tech activities. It sets a habit to disengage for self preservation.

7.TANF Food Stamps, Your Local .gov website they will direct you to the agency that services your area. * As of November 1, 2025 Food Stamps distribution has been suspended until the lockdown is over. Thank the Republicans for this cruelty.
8. Food Banks

Most Community Action Programs have resources to connect you with food banks and food bank services. Call 211 for your local Community Action agency phone number.
9. Habitat for Humanity
Builds homes for income eligible Families and Repair Program for low income, Veterans and Elder Safety Repairs and Installations
Free to Homeowner or Renters with Homeowners Permission
10. Habitat for Humanity Resale Stores, check with your local Habitat for the nearest store to your zip code. They sell household items and the monies support building homes for the disadvantaged, poor and veterans.
11.St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry
Food and varied resources for the elderly, poor, single parents, military and anyone experience long term or temporary financial crisis.
12. Any Church Denomination
Call 211 for a list of Food Pantries near you.
: Food Pantries, Community Free meals, Clothing, holiday food baskets, Holiday Presents for children, furniture and referrals.
Rent and utilities assistance when funds are available
13. Ecumenical Societies.
Religious leaders from diverse groups in your area network with other religious organizations to address food insecurity, housing, budgeting and resources.
14. USRD Check with your local state USRD for programs
Grants ( You don't have to pay back the grant money) to repair homes, heating systems, plumbing, roofing and health and safety home repair issues
Also, Low Interest Loans to for the above ( Loans do have to be paid back)
Income eligibility Based.
Contact the Federal Agency for the local USRD in your area, eligibility also can depend on your zip code and that geography having a rating for such programs.
15. Your Local Toys for Tots
Sign your children up for a present for the holidays.
16. HUD Section 8 Housing Rental and Homeownership Voucher Program.
They pay 60% and you pay 30% of the rental allotment for your family size.
Get on the waiting list if your not already and sign up for waiting lists where you have family, friends and a support network.
You can either get in subsidized housing units or sign a lease with a property owner to rent a house, after you have paid for one solid year on time, your rental voucher can be used to buy a home. Look into this, it is rarely advertised but many Housing Authorities administer the Housing Voucher Home Ownership Program.
17. Local Housing Authorities
Subsidized Housing Units for The Elderly. Veterans and Disabled. Sliding Scale Fee and some in house subsidies. They cover 60% of your rent you pay 30%.
18. Small Business Administration: Free Credit Counseling and Credit Repair programs, Help starting a business, business planning, etc.
19.Domestic Violence Coalition: Safety Planning, Relocation, Subsidies sometimes for housing, food insecurity, clothing and shelter or help getting you prioritized on Housing Subsidy Lists,

via your local Community Action Agency
Pays for Home Repairs for Low Income and Elderly Home Owners.
21. Local Legal Services in Your State
Free confidential legal services, income eligibility is determined after an over the phone intake assessment.
22. Help Paying Your Property Taxes or delaying them. Call your local Tax Collectors office, there are programs for the elderly, disabled, veterans and low-income homeowners to delay or defray these costs, most local tax collectors/assessor's office have federal and state programs depending on your situation.
